RESEARCH

Undergraduate Research

My undergraduate research was conducted at California State University, Fullerton, with Dr. James Parham. It focused on morphological descriptions of new specimens of Miocene-aged leatherback sea turtles from Orange County, California. Leatherback evolution is very poorly understood, and previous to my research only specimens from Europe, and the east coast of North America had been described. Through my study of unpublished specimens from the west coast of California, morphological trends, and temporal and geographic patterns were refined.

Graduate Research

My graduate research will be conducted at California State University, Fullerton with Dr. James Parham. It will focus on the evolution and ecology of desmostylians in Southern California.
